About the Temple

Spiritual Significance & Yearly Calendar
The temple is dedicated to Maa Ashapuri, known to fulfill the wishes of her devotees and worshipped widely as an incarnation of Mata Vaishno Devi. The sanctum houses three sacred pindis, and the idol of the goddess is uniquely adorned with seven pairs of divine eyes, symbolizing her omnipresence and watchful grace over her devotees.

Architectural Uniqueness
Shree Ashapuri Temple is built in traditional Nagara architectural style, with a prominent pyramidal shikhara (tower) above the sanctum.
The temple is aligned eastward, and features include a sanctum (garbhagriha), antarala (vestibule), and maha mandapa (main hall). Idols of lion and tiger stand guard outside the temple, facing the deity, symbolizing strength and divine protection.
